Personal Statement

A few words to describe me that I have heard from others would be hard working, dedicated, positive, helpful, passionate, loving, accepting and a heart of gold. I want to show myself that I am capable of achieving my dreams by working hard for myself. I want to be in an accepting environment with people who are just as passionate as I am. My academic studies are my main priority but soccer will be just as important. My main goal in life is to be happy, healthy, successful and financially comfortable.

I have known Tanika Rother for two and a half years in my capacity as her Consumer Studies Teacher at St Dunstans College Benoni. She has proven to be a very hard working and consistent learner, who always puts in much effort into all her assessments and participation in class. I have been able to observe that she has a passion for sport but is also driven to succeed academically. She has achieved above average results for me over this period. She has a number of strengths that will make her a valuable asset to any team- she is very punctual in her attendance. She has excellent planning skills which has enabled her to hand in all assessments on time and maintain her training schedules. She is most thorough in her preparation and always ensures that she is organized and all her filing is up to date. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Tanika Rother for the position she is applying for. If her performance in my class is any indication of how she will perform in your organisation, she will be a great asset to you. Sincerely, Mrs S Opperman Consumer Studies Teacher

To Whom It May Concern, It is my privilege to write this recommendation for Tanika Rother. I have been fortunate to have coached Tanika since 2016. From the very beginning she has showcased her talent and dedication. Her willingness to progress in the sport made it easy for her to grow from strength to strength and achieving several accomplishments such as having been awarded as Most Valuable Player U14 (2017), JVW U14 Captain (2017), JVW team for the Dana Cup (2018 & 2019). Tanika is a hard worker and always strives to give 100% whether it be a match or a training. Her speed and her game knowledge are her strengths. She plays a vital role in the defence, with not only the ability to defend but to attack too. She is strong on the ball and has the vision to pass accurately, she has a positive influence in the team and constantly motivates her teammates. I strongly believe that Tanika will be an asset to any program. Sincerely, Alexia Cassar JVW Regional League Coach

To Whom it May concern This letter serves as a letter of recommendation and reference for Ms Tanika Rother and serves as reasoning in my capacity as to why she is recognised in the way is described. My name is Chad Kan and I have had the pleasure of being Tanika’s football coach at Easterns High Schools Football Association, as well as in a private coaching capacity to coach and enhance her skills as a player on and off the pitch. I have in the time we have had together, formed a very good working relationship on the field as well as seeing her develop her skills and forms of communication within the team, as well as on an individual basis. I do highly recommend her in every venture she applies to and takes on, as she is a good leader, a good example to her teammates and brings lots of consistency and leadership skills to everyone she is surrounded with. Her character and ability shines through in more than just on the field and off the pitch she gives everyone a push and exemplifies leadership. Her good sense of humour and understanding means she will be able to work in a team and help everyone in times of need as well as her being an asset to any organisation she sets foot into in the near future and endeavours going forward. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Kind Regards, Chad Kan Easterns High School Football Coach
